This special family lifestyle session in Galveston, Texas was so near and dear to my heart! The Murray’s are great friends of ours so naturally I wanted to capture the whole visit on camera! My husband Jake went to high school and college with Ryan (husband and dad you will see in these fun photos). They were even roommates while attending Texas A&M. Ryan and Rachel live in the East End Historic district of Galveston with their little boy Charlie and their 7 week old baby, Ellen who is just as sweet and beautiful as can be!
Their historic home was perfect for these bright and natural lifestyle photographs! We woke up Saturday to Ryan’s delivery of fresh donuts and kolaches due to their beautiful kitchen remodel. After breakfast we decided we didn’t need the kitchen to be 100% finished for the cutest sink bath session!
Baby Ellen
The light was perfect in their master bedroom so I took a handful of images of baby Ellen. Big brother Charlie is still pretty young but he took the entire process like a champ and was so cute in their mini sibling session! Ellen’s Milkmaid Goods swaddle was exactly what she needed to stay calm and content during our photo shoot.
The Great Pumpkin, Charlie
Charlie is obsessed with Pumpkins so while Ellen was napping, I dressed Charlie up and we headed outside to play with the pumpkins and to “make a mess”! Charlie just kept saying MESSSSS! MESSSS! – It was the cutest!
On our last morning, we decided some family portraits on their freshly painted porch was a must! It was the perfect day and location for their family lifestyle session in Galveston, TX. Jake and Ryan have been really good friends for so long, so I always like to capture a couple of photos of him and Ryan with the kids. Who knows, maybe one day the photo will show Ryan holding our new baby! We had the best time with our friends who are actually a little more like family to us.
