The journey to motherhood is one of life’s most beautiful journeys. It’s one filled with love, transformation, and unforgettable moments. During this sweet season of life, every little detail matters. As a San Antonio, TX maternity and newborn photographer, I consider it such an honor to help families preserve this fleeting time with timeless images they can treasure forever.

Kiersten’s maternity session was the perfect example of why I love this work so much. She was absolutely glowing from the moment she arrived at the Brackenridge Park. You could see her excitement, her joy, and her natural beauty shining through in every image. Kiersten’s sweet energy made the entire session feel warm and full of life. I just know she is going to be such a loving and gentle mama.

Finding the Perfect Spot

Before their session, I decided to walk around this downtown San Antonio park to scout for fresh locations. I stumbled upon a spot I had never used. It was bathed in soft, golden light and surrounded by a peaceful little pond. I tucked the idea away, thinking that if we had time after braving the Texas heat, we’d end the evening there. I’m so glad we did, because as I had the expectant parents standing and sitting by the pond, a couple of adorable ducks waddled over to embrace this beautiful mama-to-be!! It was just too sweet, and a beautiful moment to capture!

That spot is now officially my new favorite location at the park. I’ll be bringing bread to every future session here!

A maternity session is a way to slow down and truly celebrate this stage of life.
