Alamo Heights In-home Newborn Session

There’s something so special about capturing newborn sessions in the heart of a family’s home, where so many of life’s most precious moments unfold. When I arrived for Jack’s Alamo Heights, TX in-home newborn session, I was immediately charmed by the quaint, welcoming feel. The first thing I asked was, “Can we take pictures outside?” The beautiful exterior and welcoming porch were just too perfect to pass up!

One of the biggest concerns I hear from people about in-home sessions is, “oh, my house isn’t pretty or big enough.” I promise, that’s never the case, nor do you need a picture perfect house! A home doesn’t need to be grand, immaculate, or styled. As long as we have good light, we can create magic. If your house has a porch let’s try and use it because It creates the sweetest, cozy images. That said, this family home was absolutely adorable in every way!

Jack was an absolute dream, snuggled up and peaceful throughout the session in his white and blue striped onesie. Jack’s furry big sister also joined in on the fun and took her place right by his side. Including your pets is another wonderful benefit of in-home sessions. Animals aren’t just part of the household, they’re part of the family, and I love including them whenever possible. I love when dogs join in like this pup and are just so calm and loving!

Why I Love In-Home Newborn Sessions

Beyond the ease and comfort of being in your own space, in-home sessions add a layer of warmth and authenticity that simply can’t be replicated. From documenting the nursery that you poured your love and energy into, to capturing moments around your favorite spaces in your home, these sessions hold so much sentimental value and Jack’s session was a perfect example of this. I know these images will be treasured for years to come, reminding his family of just how small and precious he was during these first few weeks and what a good, protective big sister he has watching over him.
