Milestone Studio Session

This one year milestone studio session holds a special place in my heart. I have had the joy and honor of photographing this adorable little guy, Henry, since he was a newborn! Since that first newborn session, I’ve captured various milestone sessions – 3 months, 6 months, and 10 months – and now his one year milestone session! His mom, Liz, wore the same dress she wore at his newborn session. I just loved how this tied into his first year of life beautifully, marking the beginning and end of a wonderful chapter.

This special studio session celebrated this exciting milestone and captured tender moments between Henry and his mom. I love that we were able to include mommy and me photos in this session before transitioning into solo shots of just Henry. Mommy and me photos are a favorite of mine. I love capturing the special bond between mothers and their babies. To celebrate Henry’s first birthday we also included a cake smash towards the end of the session! While Henry was full of smiles and giggles throughout the session, the cake smash was my favorite. He LOVED the cake!

He dove right into the naked cake that I provide for all my one-year milestone sessions. These cakes also include a stand from my collection, which complement the light and timeless aesthetic of my studio. Mom’s are free to bring other props to the studio, such as balloons, flowers, or even a cake topper. These items help personalize the session, but are not necessary. The simple and classic studio setting allows the focus to remain on your little one and the connection you share.

I loved capturing Henry’s studio milestone session and seeing his sweet smile light up the room. I seriously can’t believe how quickly this year has gone by! The best part is that I won’t have to wait long to see Henry again, as I will see him again in November for his Santa mini session!
